When is the Summer Solstice

Summer Solstice is happening on June 21, 2022 the sun will be moving away from Yin energy (dark/feminine) into Yang energy (masculine/light energy) marking the longest day of the year.

The summer solstice falls on June 21 each year, but it can also vary depending on how you measure it. For example, in the Northern Hemisphere, summer solstice occurs on June 21 or 22 while in the Southern Hemisphere, it occurs on December 21 or 22. The date of this event varies from year to year because Earth's orbit around the sun isn't circular but elliptical.

Many people believe that the summer solstice brings positive energy and healing. This belief has been passed down from Maya, Druids, Egyptians, and Pagans who understood the spiritual significance of working with the seasons.

Does Summer Solstice Affect Mood

The summer solstice is a time of celebration and energy healing. It is the longest day and the shortest night of the year. The sun's energy is at its peak, which means that it can be used to promote growth and healing.

Because the sun and the seasons have an impact on the human energy field the summer solstice can have an affect on mood.

The human energy field consists of an aura which is said to have multiple layers. The first layer is the etheric body, which is the closest to our physical body. The second layer is the astral body, which connects to our emotions and thoughts. The third layer is the mental body, which connects us to our mind and intellect. The fourth layer is the spiritual body, which connects us to our soul and spirit. The fifth layer is the causal body, which connects us to our karma and destiny. The sixth layer is the Buddhic Body, or Christ Consciousness Body, connecting us with all of life in its oneness. And finally there's the seventh layer of God Consciousness Body that we can connect with through meditation and prayer.

When the sun is in fiery Yang energy we tend to be more active that is why summer activities tend to be spontaneous in nature. We find ourselves waking up early, staying out late, and being more social.

While this is normal and in harmony with Yang energy we must also make time to balance out the Yang energy by making time for self care and slowing down. Because the Sun will be moving into the Yang energy directly above the North node of Cancer the water sign will give us time to pursue endeavors of emotional safety, comfort, and security.

The summer solstice is about honoring your inner light, your personal power, and celebrating life in all its forms. The summer solstice is a time for self-reflection to see how you are living in harmony with nature.

With the supercharging of the sun it is a great time to enhance your personal power.
